My brother got a new electronic sensor mat to help manage his work diabetes… It is remotely monitored by a medical team … when it was ordered, and when he got it, he was told to engage it by stepping on it first thing he wakes up… But since one of his toes still has a bandage on it, because he has an open diabetic wound on it, they specifically said to only step on it with the one foot … he was told this by numerous people … they did not want to take a reading on the foot with his bandaged toe…
He still stepped on it with 2 feet because he figured that’s what he wanted to do… Not listening to any instructions… Using his own logic… Which he is not at all based in a logic that includes reality … he is in his own world and makes up his own rules
I told him he was not supposed to do that and he was trying to explain that he thought this is the way he should do it, as if he knows better than the medical team and the technologically monitored complicated diabetic mat and all the instructions that went with it
He was going to get out of the house to go run an errand and then he said “well, it might be nice to stay home for a change…” He stays home … every … single … day …
